Clyde Lamont Rhea
 Clyde Lamont Rhea, age 91, resident of Grover, NC died September 16, 2012 at Wendover Hospice, Shelby, NC.  He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Grady Rhea and Dora Dixon Rhea.  He was also preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Ruby Montgomery Rhea.  He was retired from Minnette Mills, Grover NC after 30 years of service,  a member of First Baptist Church, Grover, NC and a Mason.  Mr. Rhea served in the United States Army during World War II and for his faithful service, he was entitled to the Purple Heart Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the American Defense Service Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 1 silver star, indicating 5 major battles, the World War II Victory Medal and the World War II Honorable Service Lapel Button. 

SURVIVORS: Sons: Jacky Rhea and wife Debbie, Shelby, NC, Mick Rhea and wife Sherry, Shelby, NC, Brother: Jack Rhea, Kings Mtn. NC, 3 Grandchildren: Trent Rhea, Tiffany Stinnett, and Gregg Edwards. 4 Great Grandchildren: Kaylin Rhea, Addison Stinnett, Trevor Rhea, and Tommy Edwards.   

FUNERAL SERVICE: First Baptist Church, Grover, NC Wednesday, September 19, 2012    3:00 P.M.   Rev. John Barnhardt and Rev. David Saldo, officiating.

VISITATION: 1:30 – 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 19, 2012 prior to the service in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church.

INTERMENT WITH MILITARY HONORS PROVIDED BY THE MARINE CORP LEAGUE, FOOTHILLS DETACHMENT: Grover Cemetery, Grover, North Carolina
