Colleen Pruitt Henderson, 78, of Lackey Road, Vale, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 at her residence.

Born in Cleveland County, NC on April 11, 1941, she was the daughter of the late George Edgar Pruitt and Bessie Mae Morgan Pruitt. She was retired from Special Event Linen Company and was a member of North Brook Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Henderson and brother, Robert Pruitt.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Hoyle Phillip Henderson; two sons, Jerry Wayne Henderson and wife, Cindy of Lincoln County and Phillip Pruitt, Sr. of Shelby; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Henderson will lie in state on Sunday, April 5, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at North Brook Baptist Church.

A private graveside service will be at North Brook Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Wise officiating.
