| Commercial Lighting Rebate Program |

The City of Shelby, a participant in NCMPA1 and ElectriCities NC, desires to promote energy efficiency measures to its commercial and industrial electric customers with a Commercial Lighting Rebate Program. The Commercial Lighting Rebate Program is established for commercial and industrial electric customers who purchase and install energy efficient lighting as per the program guidelines developed by NCMPA1.
Rebates will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis for the calendar year 2012. Projects for T-12 lighting replacement must be completed by June 30, 2012 in order to qualify for the rebate. Other lighting projects qualify through the end of 2012. Rebates are calculated based on a payment of $.35/watt saved when comparing the old lighting system with the new, more efficient system, assuming at least 1,800 hours per year of operation.
