Connie B. Thomas, age 44, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at her residence.
Born September 23, 1973 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of Roy Palmer Bumgarner who resides in Casar, NC and of the late Mary Catherine Smith Bumgarner. She worked as a waitress for various local restaurants and enjoyed being a homemaker. Connie was a past member of Grace Baptist Church and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed painting and drawing.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jeffery Dale Bumgarner and father-in-law, Kenneth Eugene Thomas.
Besides her father, those left to cherish her memory include her husband of over twenty-years, Kenny Thomas; son, Joshua Ryan Thomas (Kimberly Wallace) of Casar; daughter, Hannah Marie Thomas of the home; brother, Christopher Gene Thomas of Casar and mother-in-law, Gail Thomas of Forest City. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Lillian Faith Thomas and Daisy Grace Thomas.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Lamar Hewitt officiating. Interment will follow at Lee's Chapel Cemetery in Casar. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
