Continuing Education Students Receive SECU Scholarships
Five students from the EMT program at Cleveland Community College were recently awarded individual scholarships of $750. The State Employees’ Credit Union Foundation established a Continuing Education Scholarship Program in 2012 to help remove financial barriers for students seeking to gain new and/or upgrade current job-related skills.
The target groups for the program are unemployment insurance claimants, unemployed and underemployed adults, military veterans, and members of the North Carolina National Guard.
With the addition of the Continuing Education Scholarship Program, the SECU Foundation’s annual commitment to the North Carolina Community College System is over $1,000,000.
