Corene Davis Brackett, 90 of Brown Road, Cherryville, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at her residence.

Born in Cleveland County, NC on April 2, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Orville Howard Davis and Essie Hoyle Davis. She was retired from Mohican Mills and was a member of Norman's Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Zemmie Edgar Brackett; an infant son, Eddie Warren Brackett; three brothers, Howard Davis, Troy Davis and Wyant Davis and a sister, Frances Gardner.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy Brackett and wife, Wanda of Easley, SC and Eddie Brackett of Cherryville; two daughters, Mari Simpson and husband, Rick of Vale and Sheri Boyles and husband, Doyle of Vale; a sister, Madeline Walters of Clover, SC; 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Mrs. Brackett's caregivers, Debbie Greene and Revanda Beach for all of their care.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 3:00PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Decker and Dr. Wade Dellinger officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Reeps Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
