The City of Shelby's Stormwater Division and Keep Shelby Beautiful sponsored a creek cleanup event on Saturday, October 2. Twelve volunteers helped remove 380 pounds of trashfrom a 0.3 mile stretch of creek in the N. DeKalb St. area. "We typically sponsor two to four litter sweeps and cleanup events per year," stated Tyler Brooks, the City's Stormwater/Engineering Coordinator. "It's a great way to get involved and help beautify our community and help the environment."
