CRKA fundraiser benefits Scott Thornburg

For anyone who knows Scott Thornburg, he is an amazing man. He's strong, dedicated, and a great person. Scott has been fighting many diseases since 1987 and continues to have a positive attitude on life. He is a cancer and kidney patient who has kept his faith and has amazed doctors. His friend, Jason Devine, donated a kidney to Scott and they have become very good friends. Scott calls him " brother from another mother." The members of Eastside Baptist Church, where he attends, continue to keep Scott on top of their prayer list. On Saturday, May 23rd the Cleveland Rutherford Kidney Association held a fundraiser for Scott at the Oak Grove Fire Department. Their goal was to sell 1000 hot dogs and baked goods were also available. Scott is no longer able to work, but those who know him say he was one of the best landscapers in the area. Scott's strong will and his never give up attitude is astonishing. No matter what disease invades his body... he's ready for the fight.
