Cynthia "Cindy" Royster Grigg, 70, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.

Born on February 12, 1953 in Cleveland County, NC a daughter of the late John Jonas Royster and Carolyn McSwain Wilson. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Philip Grigg and a brother, Douglas Royster.

Survivors include her children, Michelle Jordan (Ty), Rodney Hoyle (Lacie), Jonathan Grigg (Monica), Holly Shelby (David) and Mason Grigg; stepsons, Mario Garetano, Burgan Grigg (Kelly); stepsisters, Jackie Vassey (Roger), Lisa Price (James); a brother Jeffrey Royster (Mindy); 12 grandchildren, Bronson Jordan, Bradley Jordan, Landon Hoyle, Larissa Hoyle, Raiden Smith, Gage Smith, Shannon Grigg, Tomlin Grigg, Colton Shelby, Dakota Shelby, Mario Garetano, IV, Katelyn Grigg, Brennan Grigg and a very special cousin Celeste Laughlin.

A private celebration of life service will be held.
