It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sibling and aunt, Cynthia Denise Hayes Wood, age 63, on Monday, September 7, 2026 while at her home. She was born in Cleveland County, North Carolina to the late Harvey Fitchue Hayes and Linda Ellis Hayes. She is also predeceased by siblings, Rita Hayes, Mary Ann Morrison and Mark Hayes.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lindsey Morrison and husband, David Morrison; grandsons, Everett, Oren and Landrum Morrison; siblings, Belinda Edwards and Eric Hayes; nieces, Taylor and Devan; nephews, Michael, Josh, Steven, Skylar and Jeffery; numerous great-nieces and nephews; close friend, Mike; beloved dog, Trixie.

During her lifetime, she worked as a Printing Designer. Her greatest love was family, especially her 3 grandsons. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, crafting and designing. She loved with her whole heart, her devotion and kindness always showed from her family to her community.

A small Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at Kadesh Church, 138 Kadesh Church Road, Lawndale, North Carolina 28090.
