Dale Grover Houser, 81, of 7245 Old Shelby Road, Vale passed away on Friday,
October 21, 2016 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

He was born in Lincoln County on August 12, 1935 to the late Newland Lester
Houser and Maggie Lou Craig Houser. He was retired from Drexel Heritage and
was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years,
Emma Austin Houser; two brothers, James and Perry Houser; and a sister, Eva
Davis.

He is survived by his son, Dennis Houser and wife Janice of Vale; two
daughters, Diane Speagle and husband Dean of Vale and Annette Lail and Sam
Thomas of Vale; brother, Donald Houser of Hickory; two sisters, Molene
Benfield and Kathy Propst both of Vale; 4 grandchildren and 6 great
grandchildren with two more on the way.

Visitation will be from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM, Sunday at Stamey-Tysinger
Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be 3:30 PM, Sunday at Beulah Baptist Church
Cemetery with Rev. R.A. Brackett officiating.
