Dan L. Causby, age 76, of Saluda, NC died Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville.
Dan was born August 12, 1942 in Rutherford County to the late Otis Causby and Vernie Lou Wright Causby. He was a truck driver for over thirty-two years and loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of twenty-five years, Patricia Sue Causby and two brothers, Chalmer Causby and Alfred Causby.
Those left to treasure his memory include two daughters, Kim Bowles (Jessie) of Winston, Georgia and Sherry Causby of Rutherfordton; one son, Danny Causby of Forest City; two stepdaughters, Loretta Haywood of West Virginia and Tina Campbell of Forest City and sister, Nancy Ferguson of Earl, NC. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Bran Marks (Victoria), Randy Dorsey (Angie) and Bridget Dorsey; two great grandchildren, six step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service was conducted at Mt. Vernon Baptist Cemetery.
Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
