Dan Mitchell Houser, 85, of Vale, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Atrium Health-Cleveland , Shelby.

Born in Cleveland County on June 9, 1936, he was a son of the late Arch Houser and Hattie Hoyle Houser. He was retired from Crestline Furniture and was a lifelong member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Bud Houser, Tilson Houser, Ted Houser, Jack Houser and Gene Houser and one sister, Elaine Matthews.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Judy Rebecca Parker Houser; one son, Mitchell Wade Houser and wife Deborah of Connelly Springs; three grandchildren, Matthew Starnes (Whitney), Makayla Houser (Jonathan) and Jada Houser; two great grandchildren, Bentley and Lelan Starnes and his K9 companions.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at Zion Hill Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be held on at 3:00PM at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Allan Barlow officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
