Daniel Allen Horldt, 77, of Lawndale passed away on January, 5 2017 at Peak
Resources in Shelby.

Born April 4, 1939 to the late Wilbur Christian Horldt and Carol Wall
Horldt. He was a member of Fallston Baptist Church and was a Sunday School
Director, Deacon and RA Leader for many years. He served in the US Army and
retired from Copeland as a machinist.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years Evelyn Ross Horldt; two sons, Alan
Horldt and wife Dori of Shelby and Bruce Horldt and wife Lisa of Charlotte;
stepson, David Ray Borders of Charlotte; stepdaughter, Angela Borders of
Fallston; two brothers, Rev. Timothy Horldt and wife Erma of Valdese and
Phillip Horldt and wife Susan of Fountain Hills, AZ; sister, Faith Adcock of
Memphis, TN; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 10,
2017, at Stamey Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, at Stamey - Tysinger
Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. David Blanton & Janice Cooper officiating.

The burial will follow the service at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
