Daniel Clayburn "Clay" Turner, IV, 14, of 115 Bancroft Rd, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 28th, 2022.

Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Daniel Turner III and the late Ashley Cox Turner.

In addition to his father, Clay is survived by a sister, Marilyn Denice Turner, a brother, Waylon Turner, a cousin Hammer Rolen, his grandparents, Barbara Rolen, Calvin and Debbie Davis, and Kim Wyatt, his great-grandparents, Ann Batchler, Carolyn Turner, and C.H. Batchler, a special uncle and aunt, Rev. Michael D. and Ellen Owen.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ashley, a brother, Dennis Austin (Denny) Turner, his grandfathers, Danny Turner Jr., Dennis Wayne Cox, and Charles "Butch" Rolen, and his great-grandparents, Dan Turner, Howard and Edith Cox, and Clyde and Myra Whitmire.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 4th, 2022, at 5:00 pm at Mt. Whitaker Baptist Church with Rev. Michael D. Owen officiating.

The family will be at the home of Michael and Ellen Owen, 117 Cooksey St, Blacksburg, SC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to CRISISline - Mental Health America of Greenville County, 130 Industrial Dr, Suite B, Greenville, SC 29607.
