Daniel Glenn Crawford, age 67, died Sunday, May 31, 2015 at his home. Born in Spartanburg County, SC. on May 20, 1948, he was the son of the late Glenn Woodrow and Ruth Elaine Wood Crawford. Dan was a member of the Baptist Faith. He started his career in law enforcement as an agent of the SBI, he served with them for 22 years. He was a member of the former Special Agents of the SBI association. Dan served as Sheriff of Cleveland County from 1994 to 2002 and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was currently employed at Safety Test. Dan enjoyed reading, camping and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was a dog lover.

Dan is survived by his wife, Sandra Hoyle Crawford; a step daughter, Brooke Hardin and husband Clint of Boone; a brother, Jim Crawford and wife Becky of Durham; an aunt, Margaret McBrayer and husband Thomas of Forest City; parents-in-law, Bill and Nancy Hoyle of Shelby; nieces, Laura Fisher and husband Jonathan and Rebecca Crawford; and cousins, Thomas McBrayer Jr., Sallie Sessons, and John McBrayer.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 11:00am at Elizabeth Baptist Church with Rev. Don Allen officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
