Daniel Joe Blanton, 41, of 931 Carpenter's Grove Church Road, Lawndale,
passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System -
Cleveland in Shelby.

He was born in Burke County, to Nancy Walker Blanton of Casar and the late
Danny Marshall Blanton. He worked in car restoration and was a member of
Carpenter's Grove Baptist Church and attended Olive Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Happy Marie Blanton;
daughter, Melisha Blanton of Shelby; brother Preston Blanton and wife, Tammy
of Lawndale; sister, Julie Ritch and husband Channing of Casar; neice, Paige
Nicole Dishman and nephew, Canaan Aliziah Ritch.

Visitation, 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Saturday, Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home &
Cremation Center, Inc., Fallston. Condolences may be made online at

Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Sunday, at Olive Grove Baptist Church, Casar with
the Rev. Terrill Crump officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
