Danny Martin Wilson, 75, of Lincolnton, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 29, 2026.

Born on February 11, 1951, and raised in Cleveland County, Danny was a graduate of Kings Mountain High School and retired from Stabilus Corporation after more than 20 years of dedicated service.

Danny enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved spending time on the golf course, shooting pool with his cousin, Monte "Fleete" Wilson, riding motorcycles, grilling, listening to rock and roll music and even a little Jimmy Buffett. He adored his two poodles, Mickey and Minnie. Above all else, Danny loved his family and treasured every moment spent with them.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Martin Luther Wilson, Jr. (Sandy B. Wilson), and Nancy Jo Smith (Curtis Smith); his sister, Sandra Wilson; his brother, Randy Wilson; and his uncles, Bob Wilson and Charles Wilson, as well as his previous wife of 20 years, Gail Wilson.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Joe Wilson (Julie) and Bradley Wilson (Kenzie); his beloved grandchildren, Annie and Lily Wilson, and Shepard and Gryffin Wilson; his brother, Scott Wilson (Lane Madden); his half-brother, Wayne Perkins; his stepchildren, Ty Heller (Dawn) and Josette Story (Tracy); and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

A Celebration of Life service to honor Danny's life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026, in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
