Darcus Marie Revels, age 76, of Forest City, peacefully went home to with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Darcus was born Friday, August 2, 1946 in Rutherford County to the late Everette Carpenter and Willie Mae Fite Carpenter. She worked for American Greetings Inc. for many years and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Ellenboro. Darcus loved taking care of her family and enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her caring smile was evidence of the loving heart she had for everyone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Left to cherish fond memories are her husband of fifty-four years, Gerald Samuel Revels; daughter, Susan Marie Huntley (Casey) of Rutherfordton and son, Chad Revels (Gayla) of Rutherfordton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Keith Shell, Nathaniel Shell, Ashley Shell McDaniel, Jordan Revels, Jada Revels, Teresa Huntley and seventeen great-grandchildren.
A family conducted celebration of life service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 17th at Victory Baptist Church in Ellenboro with Reverend Johnny McCarty and Reverend Randy Church officiating.
Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
