Darla Sue Kenney, age 89, of Denison, TX, passed away on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 here in Lawndale, NC.

Darla was born in Bryan County, Oklahoma, on June 19th, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Margaret Ross. Darla was also preceded in death by several of her brothers and sisters as well. Darla was a U.S. Airforce wife who spent her life building a loving home for her husband and three boys. She was active member of the Elk Lodge, as well as the local V.F.W., American Legion.

Darla is survived by her husband, Ernest D. Kenney; three sons, Steven Kenney and his wife, Tamela, Stanley Kenney and his wife, Laura, and Jeffery Kenney; one brother, Richard Ross; three sisters, Shirley Bennett, Linda Moore and her husband, Jimmy, and Brenda Sims and her husband, Keith; seven grandchildren, Jennifer McMurry and her husband, Brandon, Mindy Porter and her husband, James, Matthew Kenney and his wife, Jenn, Michael Kenney and his wife, Meredith, Shane Kenney and his wife Erin, Colton Kenney and his wife Kristina, and Frida Kenney and twelve great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024 , at 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm , at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, in Fallston, NC
