David Moore, age 62, of Forest City, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
David was born Tuesday, August 28, 1962 in Rutherford County to the Jimmy Moore who resides in Forest City and to the late Joan Mask Moore. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1980. David worked for Beam Chevrolet in the detail shop for over eighteen years. He was a member of Roberston Creek Free Will Baptist Church where in the past years he had served as a deacon. David was an avid NASCAR fan and worked for Jamie Yelton Racing as a pit crew member and in driver development.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his loving wife of thirty-four years, Laurie Mabe Keeter Moore; daughter, Nicole Leigh Moore (Zack) of Rutherfordton; sister, Tonya Bennett (Brian) of Rutherfordton; brothers, Tracy Moore (Lorrie) of Ellenboro, Greg Moore (Tish) of Chesnee, SC and a special uncle, Bill Mask (Peggy) of Mooresboro.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 3rd at Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Scotty Keeter and Reverend Tim Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
