David Wayne Smith, 62 , of 6126 Casar Road, Casar, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Atrium .Health - Cleveland, Shelby
Born in Cleveland County, on July 11, 1959, he was a son of the late Lenore "Lynn" Smith and Elizabeth Denton Smith. He worked as a welder and fabricator for Standard Crankshaft.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard and Melvin Smith, two infant brothers; two sisters, Eunice and Zelna Hudson and two infant sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Tonda Pye Smith of the home; a son, Brad Pye (Harley Burgess) of Forest City; three sisters, Thelma Smith and Marie Hudson of Casar; Cora Lovelace of Shelby. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews including special nephews, Danny and Donnie Hudson, Brady Smith and Ashton Hudson.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 1:00PM at Corinth Baptist Church in Casar with the Rev. Danny McNeilly officiating.

The family will greet friends following the service.

Burial will follow the service in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Casar.
