Debbie Turner Coffey
Debbie Turner Coffey, age 65, of Sandy Mush, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born May 6, 1952 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Darvin Turner and Estelle Sisk Turner. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1970. Debbie was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and taking care of her family. She took pleasure in cooking, flower gardening and traveling to see her son, Todd, play baseball. Debbie delighted in going to watch Haley play softball, Harrison and Declan play baseball and attending Hannah's dance competitions. She also took pleasure in tending to her hummingbirds. She was a member of Harriett Free Will Baptist Church and was currently attending Chase Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, David, Bill and Donald Turner.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of forty-seven years, Albert "Tendall" Coffey; two sons, Brian Tendall Coffey of Ft. Mill, SC and Justin Todd Coffey and wife, Jennifer of Sandy Mush; four brothers, Herman Turner, Frank Turner and wife, Helen and Brannon Turner and wife, Etta Mae all of Caroleen and Broadus Turner and wife, Aileen of Ellenboro; four sisters, Margaret Head of Gastonia, Patsy Edwards and husband, Lewis, Christine Hodge of Forest City and Myra Connor of Caroleen. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Hannah Nicole Coffey, Haley Elizabeth Dayton Coffey, Harrison Todd Coffey and Declan Wyatt Coffey and two very special friends, Donna Patterson of Boiling Springs, SC and Nikki Ellenburg of Gilkey.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Chase Baptist Church with Reverend Scott Butler and Reverend John Bridges officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall prior to the service.
