Delores Ann Fender Champion

Delores Ann Fender Champion, 80, of Lawndale, passed away Monday, November
6, 2017 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.

Born in Rutherford County on March 30, 1937, she was a daughter of the late
Fred James Hall and Blanche Gunter Blackwell. She was retired from the
textile industry and was a member of First Baptist Church of Spindale. She
loved to work in her flower garden and spent a lot of time working on
crafts, sewing, crocheting, and baking.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband,
Franklin Dee Fender and second husband, Harold Fred "Bill" Champion.

She is survived by her three sons, Tom Fender and wife, Donna of
Statesville, Johnny Fender and wife, Kellie of Ellenboro, and Joey Fender of
Missouri; two daughters, Sherry Daniel and husband Michael of Forest City
and Stacy Watson and husband Hugh of Dixon Springs, TN; brother, Jim Hall
and wife, Claudette of Charlotte; two sisters, Jean Gay Adams of Moultrie,
GA and Libby Melton and husband Mike of Bostic; eighteen grandchildren and
twenty-four great grandchildren.

The memorial service will be 11:00AM Wednesday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral
Home Chapel.

The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
