Deloris M. "Tencie" Rhea

Deloris M. "Tencie" Rhea, 84, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on June 21, 2020 at Testa Hospice House in Kings Mountain.

She was born in Cleveland County, NC, to the late William J. "Dub" and Alice Sellers Eubanks and was preceded in death by her brother, Doug Eubanks. Tencie was a longtime member of Central United Methodist Church. She retired after 20 years of service from the Kings Mountain National Military Park where she served as a Park Ranger and curator of the museum. Tencie was a licensed pilot for many years, a member of the Civil Air Patrol and a member of The Ninety-Nines, an organization of women pilots. She enjoyed working with pottery, creating stained glass and building furniture. Tencie was always active and loved working with her hands, gardening, building and laying brick. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed greatly by her family and loved ones.

SURVIVORS: Husband of 64 years: Bud Rhea, of the home

Sons: Scott Rhea, Holden Beach, NC and Monty Rhea, Kings Mountain, NC

Daughters: Stacie Rhea (Glenn Carroll) and Julie Turner (Jeff), all of Kings Mountain, NC

Grandchildren: Dane and Skyler Rhea, Clinton and Wesley Turner and Tucker Carroll

Great-Grandchild: Karmin Rhea

Sister-in-law: Beth Eubanks

Nieces Kelly Jones and Susan Falls

FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Mountain Rest Cemetery with Reverend Bruce Gwyn officiating

VISITATION: The family will speak with friends immediately following the interment at the graveside

MEMORIALS: Memorial may be made to Central United Methodist Church at 113 S. Piedmont Avenue, Kings Mountain, NC 28086
