Denise Conway, age 71, of Mooresboro, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby.

Denise was born Saturday, November 4, 1950 in Manhattan, New York to the late Herbert S. Hysler and Tillie Guttenplan Hysler. She worked as a human resources manager for seventeen years for New York City and as a payroll clerk for Buel Trucking in Chesnee for several years. Denise was a dedicated homemaker who loved her family dearly. She was a faithful member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and enjoyed reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, Richard Conway; a sister, Geri Hysler and brother, Billy Hysler.

Left to cherish fond memories are her sons, Anthony P. Corujo (Alicia) and Joseph H. Conway III (Amber) all of Shelby; daughter, Elisa Ruiz (Isaac) of Florida; grandchildren, Brandon Covington, Devin Corujo, Chandler Corujo, Brianna Corujo, Lauran Conway, Olivia Ruiz, Hannah Siviglia, Adelaide Siviglia, Nicholas Siviglia, Leah Siviglia, Kaitlyn Faulling, Koby Faulling and Kemper Faulling; four brothers and two sisters.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Father Herbert Burke, Deacon Andy Cilone and Deacon David Faunce officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church narthex.
