Dewey Dean Huskey, age 84 of Blacksburg, SC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

He is survived by a daughter, Jaquitha McClellan of Grover, NC, a step-son, Vance Bridges and wife Lorri of Shelby, NC, and a granddaughter, Chelsey Rucker of Lenoir, NC.

Born in Cleveland County on June 17, 1937, Dewey was the son of the late Edwin and Flossie Jolley Huskey and was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Wanda Bivins Huskey, a sister, Helen Huskey Ruppe, and two brothers, Maynard Edwin Huskey and James Smith Huskey.

Dewey was a faithful member of Holly Ridge Presbyterian Church where he served as the treasurer and Deacon. He served in the United States Air Force. Dewey enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, having the family over for fish frys, and going to flea markets.

A Funeral service will be held 12:00 pm Monday, August 30, 2021 at Holly Ridge Presbyterian Church, 658 Tribal Rd, Blacksburg, SC, conducted by Rev. Mike Ware. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Cleveland memorial Park.
