Diana D. Thompson, age 62, of Forest City, died March 2, 2018 at her residence.
Born September 2, 1955 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late J.C. Dills and Carolyn Allen Dills. She was a graduate of Chase High School and attended Morningstar Baptist Church. Diana worked in textiles for many years and most recently served as a home healthcare aide. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, painting and working on crafts. Diana was a blessing to her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Eddy Owens.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of thirty-eight years, Danny Thompson; one son, Cory Owens (Meranda) of Rutherford County; step-son, James Wofford Thompson of Mayo, SC; two grandchildren, Ainjal Owens and Xavier Owens and several brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Gene Smith and Reverend Sam Henderson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
