Diane Greene Harris went home to be with her Lord on December 9, 2024.

She was born in Rutherford County, October 12, 1944. The youngest of three sisters, she grew up loved by all those around her.

Her humor and love for life was contagious! She enjoyed music and dancing, so when Harvey Harris asked her on a first date to the El Tango at Lake Lure she was smitten! They were married in December 1964 and had three wonderful children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Avery Mac Greene; husband, Harvey Harris; son, Joe Harris; and nephews, Stephen Williams and David Wilson.

A service to celebrate Diane's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024 in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home in Shelby. A private interment will be held later at Cleveland Memorial Park.

She leaves behind; a daughter, Audra Oliver (Joel); son, Andy Harris; daughter-in-law, Ruth Ann Harris; sisters, Lynn Lackey (Don) and Gale Jackson; and 7 beloved grandchildren , Ben, Cameron, Kristopher, Hadley. Grant, Justin and Mason; and five great-grandchildren.
