Dollie Ruth Mincey Bumgardner, 85 of Larsen Rd., Lawndale, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Hospice of Carolina Foothills in Forest City.

Born in Gaston County, on June 1, 1937, she was the daughter of the late James Adrian Mincey and Vennie Melton Mincey. Mrs. Bumgardner was retired from Shirley's Restaurant in Polkville and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Perry, Carl, Johnny and Junior and three sisters, Opal, Joy and Louise.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Rev. Eugene Bumgardner; two sons, Daniel Bumgardner of Lawndale and Esper Bumgardner and wife, Shelia of Mooresboro; four daughters, Inez Johnson of Forest City, Janie Dobbins of Forest City, Diane Bumgardner and husband, David of Forest City and Jeannie Byers and husband, Randy of Arkansas; sister-in-law, JoAnn Mincey of Boiling Springs; 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 25, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home with the Rev. Homer Tessneer, Rev. Randy Bumgardner, Mr. JR Bumgardner, Rev. Jackie Price and Rev. Dale Welch officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Golden Valley Missionary Methodist Church Cemetery.
