Donald "Donnie" Wray, 75, lovingly called Pop Pop, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 21, 2021. He was born in Gaston Co. to the late Clyde and Mary Ramsey Wray. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Bill Wray and sister Betty Sipe. He loved visiting the Cherokee Casino, horseshoes, fishing and spending time with all of his family. He was the best joker around.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Jackie George Wray, sons Ricky Wray (Kimberly) of Gaffney, Jody Wray (Heather) of Shelby, stepson Toby Youngblood of Tennessee, daughters Donna Turner (Steven) of Blacksburg, Kimberly Pilkington (Luke) of Cherryville, Vickie Wray (Chip) of Kings Mountain, step daughters Stacy Alexander (Patrick) of Monroe, Sally Sturgis and Anna Green both of Great Falls, 28 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
