Donald Hill, 76, of Shelby, NC passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Atrium Health Main in Charlotte.

He was born on August 27, 1944 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Mary Brooks Jackson and the late John Hill.

Donald was employed with Cone Mills until their closing as well as being a self-employed mechanic for many years. In his pastime, he loved fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Badgie Chapman and Johnny Chapman and a sister, Teretha Hill.

Left to cherish fond memories of him are his wife, Annie Hill; his children, Lois Guevara (Nelson) of Waterbury, CT, Vincent Hill and Preston Hill (Christina) both of Bridgeport, CT, Felicia Hill of York, PA and Donald Hill, Mary Hill and Patricia Hill all of Bridgeport; three sisters, Flossie Watson (Riley) of Kingstown, NC, Diana Osborne (Larry) of Bridgeport, CT and Marvelette Gary of Charlotte, NC; his mother-in-law, Elonia Murphy of Bridgeport; 36 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends whom will all miss him dearly.

The funeral service for Mr. Hill will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 3:00 PM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the chapel.
