Donald Patterson, 60, of Shelby, NC passed away onWednesday, November 25, 2020, at his residence.

He was born in Cleveland County, NC on April 19, 1960 to the late Essie Mae Patterson.

Donald was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He was employed with T. N.S. Mills for 10 years.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his three aunts, Darlene Fears, Francis Tate and Lyndea McClinton.

He leaves cherished fond memories of him to his wife of 40 years, Mary Patterson; two sons, Donald Tate and Michael Tate (Katina) of Shelby; six daughters, Jenny Tate (Jerry), Brittany Tate, Donica Tate, Jalisa Tate and Catherine Wilson (Jerry) all of Shelby and Jennifer Tate of Charlotte, NC; three aunts, Louise Montgomery of Philadelphia, PA, Betty Hogue of Cleveland, OH and Christy Hopper (Harold) of Shelby; three uncles, Jessie McClinton, and Bobby McClinton both of Shelby and Kenneth Jones (Barbara) of Cherryville, NC; forty-two grandchildren including two special grandchildren, Damion Tate and Lailah Tate and friends.

The funeral service for Mr. Patterson will be private. He may be viewed at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon with a reception of friends from 2:00 PM until 2:30 PM. Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery.
