Donald Reginald Endsley

Donald Reginald Endsley, known affectionately as Regie to his friends and family, passed away on November 28, 2024, at the age of 77.

Born on September 2, 1947, in Orlando, Florida, Regie grew up to be a man of exceptional kindness, a gentle spirit, and an amiable personality. His final days were spent surrounded by love in Lawndale, North Carolina, where he peacefully departed from this world.

Regie's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family and his community. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Endsley, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories. His legacy continues through his children, Donald R. Endsley, Melanie Francisco and her husband Michael, and Lisa Endsley and her husband Kevin Woerner. Regie was a proud brother to Terry Endsley and Evelyn Spahr, and her husband, Jack. His joy was multiplied by his five adoring grandchildren, Andromeda, Alexandrea, and Andrew Francisco, Samuel Albright, and Nicholas Toney, who will miss their grandfather's warmth and wisdom.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember the life of Regie will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 2:00 pm in the Fallston Chapel of Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, with the Rev. Terry Bevill officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 7th, from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm at Stamey-Tysinger funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be private for the family at a later date.

For over 30 years, Regie served with distinction for the Social Security Administration, retiring as a Public Affairs Officer. His commitment to public service was not just a career but a calling, through which he touched the lives of countless individuals. His professional demeanor, coupled with his friendly approach, made him a respected figure among his colleagues and those he served.

Regie was deeply involved in various associations that reflected his diverse interests and passions. He was a devout member and Lay Leader of the Friendship Methodist Church, where he found solace and fellowship among its congregation. His leadership skills were evident through his roles as President of the Cleveland County Beekeeper's Association and past President of AFGE local 3509. Additionally, Regie was a member of the Morgan Horse Association, and the Lippett Morgan Breeder's Association where he combined his love for animals with his knack for community involvement.

His interests were a testament to his character; he sought to enrich the world around him, whether it was through the stewardship of nature or the nurturing of relationships. Regie's love for the outdoors and his commitment to the care of animals were just a few of the attributes that made him a figure of admiration in his community.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Regie will remember him as a man who embodied the true spirit of friendliness. His kind gestures, gentle words, and genuine concern for others were the hallmarks of his personality. Regie's ability to make each person feel valued and heard was a gift that he generously shared with everyone he encountered.

As we bid farewell to Donald Reginald Endsley, we are reminded of the impact one life can have on so many. The memories he created, the love he shared, and the good he did will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him. His was a life well-lived, full of purpose, and brimming with kindness.

Though Regie may have left this earthly realm, his spirit continues to inspire us all to live with compassion, to lead with humility, and to love without bounds. Rest in peace, Regie, knowing that your journey was one of profound significance and that your memory will always be cherished.
