Donald William Biggerstaff, age 77, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at his home in Shelby.

Born in Cleveland County on October 20, 1943 he was the son of the late William Summie Biggerstaff and Janie Putnam Biggerstaff. He was the owner of Don's Gun Shop and was a life long Marine and he enjoyed fishing.

Donald is survived by his wife of 60 years Betty Smith Biggerstaff, two daughters; Robin White and husband Bruce, Christy Tipton and husband Steve as well as one sister Peggy Whetstine, and five grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service with Military Honors will be held 6:00 pm Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Bryan Glisson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
