Donna Giles Banning, age 69 of Boiling Springs, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 23, 2019.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Wilbur Max Banning of the home, a son, Richard Banning and girlfriend Marsha Elledge of Boiling Springs, NC, two grandchildren, Emily and Amelia Elledge-Banning, two brothers, David Giles of Charlotte, NC, and her twin brother, Don Giles and wife Linda of Mocksville, NC, a sister, Doris Jean Dial of Charlotte, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born March 14, 1950 in Mecklenburg County, Donna was the daughter of the late John and Doris Mae Crenshaw Giles and was preceded in death by her daughter, Rachel Jeannette Banning, a grandson, Joseph Max, two brothers, John and Michael Giles, and a sister, Ruth Giles.

Donna was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, computer games, and spending time with her family and friends. Donna was artistically inclined. She loved wood burning and drawing.

A memorial service was held 1:00 pm Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Cleveland Funeral Services chapel. The family will receive friends following the service in the chapel.
