Doris Ann Blanton Ramsaur, 86, of 1588 South Oak Dr., Shelby, passed away

Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

Mrs. Ramsaur was born in Cleveland County on July 28, 1925, to the late

William Menzie Blanton and Miriam Cordell Blanton.  She was a charter member

of First United Methodist Church of Lawndale and retired from Cleveland

Mills after 40 years of service as a personnel assistant and insurance

clerk.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morris

Shuford Ramsaur, Jr.; son, Louis Ramsaur; daughter, Jean Carroll Elliott;

and two brothers, Alvin C. Blanton and Shannon Blanton.

Mrs. Ramsaur is survived by her two grandsons, Morris Elliott and wife Traci

and Sam Ramsaur; granddaughter, Necole Richard and husband, John; three

great-grandchildren, Zackary Richard, Tylor Richard, and Brittany Richard

and a niece Gwen Smart.

The family will greet friends immediately following the service at Stamey

Celebration of Life Service, 6:00 pm, Monday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel,

Fallston.

A private burial will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston, North

Carolina.
