Doris Browne Borders
 Doris Browne Borders, 84, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Hospice Cleveland County.  She was the daughter of the late Wayne Hal and Beatrice Whitworth Browne.  She was also preceded in death by her brother Hal Browne.  Mrs. Borders was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir.  She enjoyed traveling, sewing and growing her flowers.  She was very active in the Democratic Party.  Because she was the wife of a minister, she lived in Spring Hope, Gaffney and Lawndale as well as Shelby.

Mrs. Borders is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years, Cline W. Borders; three sons, Cline W. Borders Jr. and wife Vicki of Maryland, Timothy Hal Borders and wife Paulette of Charlotte, Daniel Browne Borders of Nampa, Idaho; daughter, Cheryl Jean Borders Lattimore and husband Jim of Lawndale; sister, Jean Randall of Hendersonville; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 5:00pm on Monday, July 4, 2011 at Elizabeth Baptist Church.  Dr. Rit Varriale and the Rev. Jeff Brendle will be officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 5:00pm prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150 or charity of donor’s choice.
