Doris Norman Stockton, 77, of Shelby and formerly of Conway, SC passed away
Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Peak Resources in Shelby.

Born September 21, 1937 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
Archie Matthew Norman and Ora Lee Cook Norman. Doris was a graduate of
Belwood High School and attended Central Piedmont College in Charlotte. She
resided in Shelby before moving to Myrtle Beach in 1980. She was formerly
involved in motel management, later as a dental assistant. She was a member
of First Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach, SC.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy
Cullen Stockton; two brothers, Jerald Norman and Jimmy Norman; sister,
Janois Beam and two sons-in-law, Gene Smith and Ed Hamrick.

Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Smith of Shelby and Melanie Hamrick
of Shelby; three grandchildren, Tripp Smith and wife, Emily, Lauren Hamrick
and Brittany Burnett and husband, Casey and two great grandchildren, Ember
Burnett and Chloee Burnett.

Visitation: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday at Norman's Grove Baptist Church

Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Tuesday at Norman's Grove Baptist Church

Burial: will follow in Norman's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery

Road, Lawndale, NC 28090.
