Dorothy Ann Figueroa, 75, died Sunday, May 8, 2022 at her home.

Born in Passaic County, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Dorothy Whitney Mickens. Dorothy worked as a nurse for many years and she had a passion for cooking. She was a dedicated and special loving wife to her husband, Pablo Figueroa Jr. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Paul Figueroa and wife Ana of PA and Mark Figueroa and wife Marylou of NJ; daughters, Mary Ann Figueroa of Shelby, Louise Reyes of NJ and Paula Velez and husband Carmelo of Shelby; 13grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; aunt, Florence Thompson of Shelby; and cousin, Robert Thompson of Kings Mountain. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:30PM, Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Harold Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
