Dorothy "Dot" Brooks, 91, of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, passed away on September 19, 2024 at Peak Resources in Gastonia, North Carolina.

Born September 14, 1933 in Cleveland County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Winfred Alexander and Sarah Ann Craig Bradley and was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Clarence "Ray" Brooks, brother Dwight Bradley, and granddaughter Kasey Lynn Williams. Dot was of the Baptist faith, teaching Sunday School from the age of 14 until retiring from her position in her 80s. She was a giving and loving person with a huge heart for children. An avid reader, Dot was both smart and wise. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

SURVIVORS: Daughters: Rebecca Parrish of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Judy Holcomb of Shelby, North Carolina.
Sister: Delores Proctor and husband, Ralph, of Gastonia, North Carolina
Dot is also survived by three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, North Carolina with Reverend Eddie Gray officiating.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.

INTERMENT: Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, North Carolina
