LAWNDALE - Dorothy Ellen Shepherd Kelly, 66, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Wendover Hospice surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She is predeceased by her mother, Lucille Reynolds of Shelby and grandson, "Baby Ace" Carter Troyer.

Ellen leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Jimmie Ray Kelly of the home; father, Robert Reynolds of Shelby; three children, daughter, Ruth Dover and husband, Wayne of Kings Mountain, son, John Wayne Shepherd and wife Sherrill of Lawndale and daughter, Kimberly Earlene Shepherd and boyfriend Brian Pearson; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; four fur babies she loved dearly; special friend, Steve Wandzilak.

She enjoyed gardening and cooking but most of all she enjoyed being with her family. She will truly be missed.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Cleveland Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 1225 College Avenue, Shelby, NC 28152 with Rev. Jack Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
