Dorothy Philbeck Grant, 87 of Shelby passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center.

Born in Cleveland County on April 1, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Green Berry Philbeck and Charlotte Philbeck. She was retired from Ora Mill and was a member of Friendly Chapel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Malinda and Debbie.

Survivors include two sons, James Grant and wife Darlene of Marion and Carl Grant and wife Linda of Shelby; three daughters, Lisa Bowen of Kings Mountain, Peggy Stokes and husband Ronnie of Lawndale and Joann Bolding and husband Tim of Cherryville; nineteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Normans Grove Baptist Church. At other times, the family will be at the home of Joann Bolding, 121 Red Oak Drive, Cherryville, NC 28021.

The graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Normans Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Chris Decker officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Normans Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
