Douglas Delano Eubanks

Douglas Delano Eubanks, age 82 resident of Kings Mountain, NC passed away after a courageous battle with ALS before he went home to be with the Lord on November 24, 2016 at his home. He was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late William Jackson Eubanks and Alice Louvie Sellers Eubanks. Mr. Eubanks was retired from Liberty Life Insurance Co., Shelby, NC and was formerly employed with Southwell Motors and Wade Ford, Kings Mtn. NC. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Kings Mtn. NC where he served on various committees and usher. He was also a member of the Fairview Masonic Lodge #339 and served in the United States Coast Guard. He enjoyed bird hunting, fishing, boating, water skiing, blue grass music, skeet shooting, playing his banjo, and riding in the helicopter with his son-in-law. He loved to raise dogs for hunting and for pets. He especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter Kylee, spending her Pre-K, summers, and after school with Doug and Beth. He had plenty of "girlfriends" approved by his wife Beth, mostly waitress and caregivers.

Daughters: Dr. Kelly Eubanks Jones and husband Dr. Stephen Jones, Cherryville, NC

Susan Eubanks Falls and husband Robert Falls, Kings Mtn. NC

Sister: Tence Rhea and husband Bud Rhea, Kings Mtn. NC

Brother-in-law: Joe Roberts and wife Betty, Shelby, NC

4 Grandchildren: Natalie Jones, Caroline Jones Murrell and husband Andrew, Chasity Falls Brewer and husband Taylor, and Kylee Elizabeth Falls.

Nieces and Nephews: Scott, Monty, and Stacie Rhea; Julie Rhea Turner and husband Jeffrey and David Roberts and wife Melody.

November 26, 2016 11:00 A.M. Dr. John "Chip" Sloan and Rev. Stephen Brackeen, officiating.

VISITATION: 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 26, 2016 prior to the service in the Parlor of First Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
