Dovie Lena Wright-Smith, age 68, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2020 at Atrium Health Cleveland.

Born Cleveland County on December 25, 1951 she was the daughter of the late Horace Wright and Madge Gantt Smith. She worked for many years at Walmart in Shelby. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and word searches.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Ronald Wright, and first and second husbands, Ronald Powell and James Smith.

Dovie is survived by her two daughters; Candace Powell and husband Daniel James of Rock Hill, SC and Jessica Smith of Knoxville, TN, one step son, Josh Smith and one granddaughter, Lily Jones as well as one brother Joe Wright of Boiling Springs.
