Dwight Carroll Newton, 78, of Casar, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at home.

Born in Cleveland County on December 14, 1942, he was the son of the late Boyd Walker and Wilma Newton Walker. He was employed at Huffmans Garage and he loved old cars and his 1957 Ford Fairlain Skyliner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kim Newton and his grandparents, Julius and Cornelia Newton.

He is survived by his daughter, Carol Newton of Vale; sister, Connie White of Casar; two grandchildren, Dylan Heavner of Fallston and Emily Willis Cooley of Conover; and a great grandson, Conner Heavner of Fallston. He will be missed by his family and friends who spent time with him at his garage.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 3, 2021 , at 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
