Earl Christmas Parade...
One of the greatest highlights of this year’s Earl Christmas Parade was the appearance of the Grand Marshall, Staff Sergeant Thomas W. “Billy” Costello.  This 10 year veteran lost a leg in Afghanistan on September 20, 2011 in the Kandahar Province. He was injured after stepping on a land mine during a route clearance mission, resulting in the loss of his right leg above the knee, a tibula/fibula fracture. Billy also fractured the middle and index finger of his right hand. and suffered a blown ear drum in the right ear. He was transported to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland for rehabilitation. After a year of rehab, Billy rejoined his company in the 3rd SFG(A) at Fort Bragg, NC. It was a special day for a special man, his wife and two sons. Thanks for your service, Billy.   –M. A. Andrews
