Earl McCurry, age 85, of Lexington, NC, formerly of Caroleen, passed away, Monday, October 11, 2021 at Hospice of Davidson County in Lexington.

Earl was born Sunday, June 21, 1936 in Rutherford County to the late Grady Lee McCurry and Cora Blanche Murray McCurry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served honorably during the Korean War. Earl worked for GenPak for many years before retirement. He was a past member of Caroleen Baptist Church and most recently a member of the Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Wilmington. Earl was an avid golfer.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of sixty-one years, Joanna Hawkins McCurry; son Todd McCurry and wife, Vicky; daughter, Alicia Trollinger; grandson, Justin Schultz and granddaughter, Jordan Schultz.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Friday, October 16, 2021 at the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating.
