Earl Scruggs Center Announces: No Man's Land Film Festival

The Earl Scruggs Center and MountainTrue are proud to bring No Man's Land Film Festival (NMLFF) - the premier all-women adventure film festival - to Shelby for the first time. The Festival features short films about women adventurers who will inspire you with their tenacity, their spunk, and their femininity - all interwoven to showcase the full scope of woman-identified athletes and adventurers.
The screening will feature a pre-show panel discussion at 7:00 p.m. with local women adventurers and environmental advocates followed by a screening of the No Man's Land Film Festival at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019.
Time: Doors open at 6:30 pm, panel discussion begins at 7:00 pm, film festival begins at 8:00 pm.
Location: Earl Scruggs Center, 103 S Lafayette Street, Shelby, NC 28150
Ticket Price: Adults - $15, Under 21 - $10.

The panel discussion features four incredible women adventurers including Miriam Ash-Jones, a life-long adventurer and hiker. Ash-Jones has hiked Mt. Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp, the Appalachian Trail, the NC Mountains-to-Sea Trail, and the John Muir Trail in California. Dana Bradley serves as the Outdoor Programs Director at the Rutherford Outdoor Coalition. Former wildfire fighter, Jordan Jackson, currently works at the U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC. Equestrian athlete Daniela (Danny) Moguel relocated to Cleveland County and is currently training for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
