Earlene Fuller Weaver

Mrs. Earlene Fuller Weaver, 85 of 2113 Fernwood Drive Shelby, NC passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby. She was born in Rutherford County, NC on September 28, 1934 to the late Robert Lawrence Fuller and Laura Ann McDufffie Fuller.

She was raised and educated in Cleveland County, North Carolina. She worked as a caregiver for many years while she raised her siblings, her children and many other children that the Lord brought to her care. She was employed at one of the local textile mills and was employed and retired from the Cleveland County School System. After that she returned to her caregiver employment.

Earlene loved to cook and was known far and wide around the county for her delicious meals. She was a seamstress who could make her children's and her own clothes. She loved her flowers and faithfully tended to her plants inside and outside of her house. She was a hairdresser, for many years she was the local community hair stylist.

Earlene came to know the Lord at an early age. She was a spirit-filled woman who believed: "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." She was a true prayer warrior who passed along her strong beliefs to all her children. She was a long term member of Macedonia Baptist Church of Kingstown, NC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther "Luke" Weaver; a son, Mickhell Weaver; a daughter-in-law, Diane Weaver; grandsons, Preston Gill, Alonzo Weaver and Brandon Weaver; brothers, Willie Gene Wilson and Nathaniel Fuller; sisters, Connell Fuller, Lillie Pearl Fuller and

Annie Pearl Fuller.

She is survived by sons, John L. (Jacqueline) Weaver, of Strasburg, VA and Bernard "Pigeon"Weaver, of Shelby, NC; daughters, Veberlya "Velvet" (David) Ahrens, of Columbia, SC and Minister M. Bernita Weaver, of Shelby, NC; brothers, Harvey Lee (Elizabeth) Fuller and Larry (Evette)Fuller; sisters, Martha "Mott" Fuller, Rubynell Bonner, Ann (Ralph) Pryor and Delcie (Thomas)Hamilton; an aunt, Ellen Adams. She was blessed to see 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 1:30 PM at Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Shelby . Burial will take place at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Kingstown. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:30 PM at the church. Condolences can be expressed online at www.enloemortuary.com. Enloe Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
